Make room for
a clearer conversation.

01

Bring a few specifics

Write down what you noticed, when and where it happened, what came before it, and what seemed to help. Include what your child enjoys and does well.

“Here is one example of what we are seeing, and here is what has helped so far.”
02

Ask the questions that matter

Ask who will work with your child, their qualifications, how your child’s needs and preferences shape the plan, how you will be involved, and how progress will be reviewed.

“How will we know whether this support is helping, and what happens if it is not?”
03

Leave with a next step

Record the contact’s name, the agreed action, any costs or coverage questions, and when to follow up. Ask for a written summary if that would help you keep track.

“What should happen next, who is responsible, and when should I check back?”
